Blessing of the Animals - Deborah Taliaferro
We can all use all the blessings we can get and that includes our special animals. Due to the popularity of this event last year, we will be doing it both on Saturday and Sunday so that everyone will have the chance to attend. This is a free event.

Ordained minister, Deborah Taliaferro, has been very popular at the past PetFests with her beautiful blessingsfor God's wonderful creatures. Her lucky pets 5 boxers,1 pug,1shih tzu mix,1 double yellow head amazon parrot and 3 miniature horses are definitely blessed to have her as their mom. She also shows her love for all animals as a Animal minister, is certified to do dog massage and reiki and has been trained in pet first aid. Please join us at the blessing of the animals.

Celebrity Booth
Come meet your favorite local celebrities and their pets this year in front of Home Sweet Home! Get an autograph, take a picture or just enjoy meeting them. This is a free booth but donations are welcome for the PetFest Rescue Group and Shelter Drawing. The celebrities have gracious agreed to donate their time to come meet you and help the homeless animals of Houston!

Other celebrities will be listed as they are confirmed. The schedule will be included on the website in October. If you are a Houston celebrity and would like to join us at PetFest, please call Shelly at 281/528-7070 or email at PetAttire@aol.com.

Costume Contest
One of the most popular events at PetFest has returned for twice as much fun this year!! Because of its popularity, we have decided to do this contest both days with cash prizes. We are not dividing it into categories this time so it will just be all the pets in costume each day, whether they are with kids or adults. The cost to enter the contest is $5.00 per pet and all money raised will go into the Rescue group/shelter drawing on Sunday at PetFest. Be creative and think outside the box.

You are welcome to enter the contest both days but it must be different costumes. All contestants must pre-register at the Information booth (by the museum) by 12:30 of day you are entering on. You can register for the contest for both days at the same time. If you have any questions, please call 281/528-7070 or email PetAttire@aol.com.

Low Cost Microchipping
collars with tags on. But what happens when you give take the collar off for a bath and he escapes before it gets put back on. There is also a problem with pets being stolen out of backyards when they are outside for only a few minutes to go potty. Thieves re not going to leave the collars on. Sometimes the only way you will get your babies back is because they are microchipped. Most vets and shelters scan new animals for these chips.

Pet Psychic, Lisa Greene
Find out your pets perception of their life! Are you having behavior problems, medical issues or just want to know what's on your pet's mind? Lisa Greene, Houston's "practical" pet psychic, will be doing personal readings during PetFest. She does not just give you "fluff" (like your dog likes cheese) but answers the questions you have for your pets and gives you information you can actually use. To read testimonials from some of her clients, please check out her website at www.petperceptions.com. Lisa works by appointment only, so if you'd like to meet with her at PetFest, please call her at 281.497.8073 or email her at lisa@petperceptions.com to schedule your session before the event. Appointments are one hour in length and the fee is $120. Your pets do NOT have to be present for a great reading!

Pick up poop and win a prize!
How often can you potentially win a prize for being a responsible pet owner and picking up your dog's poop?! At PetFest that is actually what could happen. Pick up your dog's waste with your own or one of the poop pick-up bags that will be provided and drop it off at the Call To Doody Dog Waste Removal booth located on Gentry in front of B's Place. The Call To Doody staff will give you a raffle ticket for every bag you drop off. Then drop your raffle ticket in the bag for the prize you would most like to win. Drop off the poop and drop your raffle ticket - now that's a great deal! Winners will be drawn at after 3PM on Sunday, October 24. Need not be present to win.
